Social Cinema brings people together at The Light Cambridge to watch a chosen film and meet other local cinema lovers.
Come alone or bring someone with you. The important part is knowing there will be friendly people to meet before the screening and talk with afterwards.

From choosing a film to the conversation afterwards.

Choose a screening
Look through the upcoming films and screening times selected by the Social Cinema community.

Tell us you’re going
Select “I’m going” beside the screening time you plan to attend. No name, account or email address is required.

Book your ticket
Book and pay for your own seat directly through The Light Cambridge. Selecting “I’m going” on Social UK does not reserve a cinema seat.
- 04
Meet, watch and talk
Meet in the main seating area approximately 30 minutes before the screening. After the film, return to the Green Room seating area beside the bar for an informal discussion.

The Light Cambridge
Social Cinema currently meets at The Light Cambridge.
We meet in the main seating area approximately 30 minutes before the advertised screening time. Where seat availability allows, members can book near one another, but it does not matter if we are seated separately during the film.
Afterwards, we regroup in the Green Room seating area beside the bar to discuss the film and continue the evening socially.

You do not need to know anyone before joining. You are welcome to introduce yourself or quietly follow the conversation until you feel comfortable taking part.
